POSITION TITLE: Maintenance - Warehouse
STATUS: 260-Days, 8-hours per day
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director/Assistant Director of Maintenance
POSITION SUMMARY: This position will support the efficient operations of the school district’s warehouse by managing inventory, handling shipping and receiving tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring supplies and equipment are effectively prepared and distributed to various locations across the district.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage daily inventory, including receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment for various departments and locations.
- Prepare and package items daily for shipment, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation for various departments and locations.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse to optimize space and facilitate efficient retrieval of items.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed to organize the warehouse, fill orders, etc.
- Pull, stack and palletize orders and supplies for building custodian managers in a timely and safe manner.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all warehouse transactions.
- Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, including inspecting and verifying items against purchase orders.
- Address any discrepancies or issues with shipments or deliveries with supervisor and vendors as needed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and supervisors to address and resolve issues.
- Assist with setup and takedown for school events and activities.
- Responsible for clean and organized work areas throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with basic maintenance repairs as needed.
- Ensure an efficient and safe working environment.
- Ensure prompt and proper completion of tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor.
- Ability to perform daily tasks with minimum supervision.
- Ability to operate power equipment.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to follow written directions.
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
- Valid Missouri Driver's License.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and utilize manual dexterity. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move up to 90 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust focus, and depth perception. The employee must independently transport him/herself to various sites in the District. The employee must be able to work both inside and outside in all types of weather. |
