REPORTS TO: Director of Technology and Information
POSITION SUMMARY: Assures the smooth and efficient operation of the Technology Office so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized. Provides administrative support to ensure that operations are maintained in an effective, up-to-date, and accurate manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for all clerical duties associated with the effective performance of duties related to Technology and Information.
- Greets callers by telephone; provides timely information and refers callers to the appropriate department for assistance.
- Communicates effectively with district staff, stakeholders, outside school districts and others as needed.
- Prepares, reviews, and submits routine correspondences, spreadsheets and reports, including those required by the state.

- Completes various core data requirements.
- Maintains student records as required.
- Ensures files are set up and complete, proficient records are kept in the form of areas of computation.
- Supports online educational resources through data uploads, software platform management and vendor communications.
- Assists with scheduling of regular and special meetings related to Director of Technology and Information.
- Assists with training, educating, and supporting district staff and stakeholders.
- Assists and supports parent/student needs as necessary.
- Participates in appropriate training, workshop, meetings and in-service programs.
- Assists in the ordering and inventory of department items.
- Follow all district policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to positively communicate and work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, parents, students, various clients and stakeholders.

- Use of personal computers and related software, chrome books, copiers, eFax, calculator, multi-line phone system.
- Knowledge of Google Suites, Microsoft Suites, SISFin, Tyler SISk12, Time Clock.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Secretarial experience preferred.
- Experience in a previous position within a school is preferred
- Knowledge of DESE requirements is preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone/email and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects. Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, and repetitive motions. Requires ability to sit and stand for long periods to complete work. Requires ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and ability to work in noisy, stressful and crowded environments. |
