Status: Full-Time, Split shifts, 12 month Classified Position
Reports to: Character Kids Club (CKC) Program Director
Position Summary: To maintain all aspects of day to day operations within the Character Kids Club location of a particular school, including the supervision and attendance of children, lesson planning, active engagement with children.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Supervise children in the care of Character Kids Club.
2. Provide a safe, fun environment for children through group management, behavior management and established safety precautions.
3. Maintain proper recording of payments, maintaining tuition ledgers/payment logs, and all associated administrative processes included in tuition collections.
4. Participate in all required staff meetings, and trainings.
5. Provide appropriate training to any new CKC staff.
6. Provide appropriate evaluations of site assistant's work quality and productivity to the Character Kids Club Program Director.
7. Make observations and recommendations regularly as to the operations of the Character Kids Club Program.
8. Maintain weekly communication with Director/Assistant Director.
9. Maintain open communication with parents/families through daily conversation, keeping the parent board/table current, following the CKC website, and reviewing any email, mail, correspondence pertinent to Character Kids Club and the families enrolled.
10. Maintain proper communication with all building personnel, office staff, custodial staff, and kitchen staff, teaching staff, and building principal.
11. Receive pertinent CKC paperwork, maintain proper documentation.
12. Utilize appropriate district forms for reporting incidents, accidents, and behavior reports.
13. Report any incident or suspicion of child abuse to the Character Kids Club Program Director.
14. Keep a neat and clean appearance in accordance to the Fox C-6 and Character Kids Club dress code.
15. Maintain a clean and organized CKC location.
16. Integrate Character Education into the planned activities at the CKC location.
17. All other assigned responsibilities related to the Character Kids Club Program.
Qualifications:
1. 30 college credit hours with a minimum of six in child-related courses or two years of experience working with children in a related field (Preferred).
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Ability to perform administrative duties related to Character Kids Club.
4. The ability to execute delegated responsibilities such as lesson planning, maintaining student records, and proper inventory of CKC supplies.
